Your brand is better than your feed. Let's fix the edit.
Strategy, copy and content from an ex-journo who learned the craft of scroll-stopping long before the algorithms.
Hey, I'm Hayley. The ex-journo stopping the scroll.
I spent my career in women's magazines creating events and content everywhere you could read it. Writing for and with the likes of L'Oréal, Dyson and NatWest to make them land with the savvy readership of Stylist, Cosmopolitan and Glamour.
On the page, across digital and in the room with the events team, I learned to make the type of content that global brands trust with their reputations.
That background isn't just a credential. It's a standard. And it's the one I bring to every brand I work with.
The shop window moved.
People don't just find brands on their feeds. They get attached to them.
Discovery is where it starts. Preference is where it counts.
Whoever owns that space becomes the default.
In this issue
Social strategy
Pillars, calendars and a plan for your feed that's built around your customer, not your product.
Copy and brand voice
Websites, captions, campaigns. Words that sound like you on your best day.
Levelling up founder socials
Strategy and content that turn your story into a feed worth following.
Not sure what you need?
But staring at a blank page? Let's talk.
“Hayley was a joy to work with, and bursting with wonderful, innovative ideas.”
Rachel Clare, Head of Development, The Choir with No Name
The back issues
A London car-care brand
The content was selling the service. We flipped it to the customer's pain points, with new pillars, an editorial calendar and monthly reporting. Views up 25% in a month. Engagement up 5x by month two.
The Choir with No Name
I didn't just grow the accounts. I built a way for choir members, people affected by homelessness, to tell their own stories on their own terms. Nothing about us without us. It reached BBC Radio and a Pride of Britain nod for the founder.
Stylist Events
A spin-off brand built from the ground up out of one of the most respected names in publishing. Growth from day one, with the editorial vision held steady through a maze of sponsor and influencer partnerships.
How this works. The short version.
01
Let’s talk
A 20-minute call about what you actually want from your socials, your content and your corner of the internet. It’s all about your business goals. Nobody’s getting turned into an influencer.
03
The boring-but-necessary bit
Contracts, invoices, access to your accounts. Not glamorous, but nothing good happens without them. The faster I’m in, the faster we get to the fun stuff.
05
The voice
We decode how your brand actually sounds, then give the backbone a glow-up: your profiles, your website, wherever your words need to live.
07
Go live
We hit publish and start changing the world, one slice of the internet at a time. Every month you get a report written for humans, not data analysts.
08
The review
Three months in, we look at what worked, what didn’t and what’s next. Keep going, change the mix, or bring in George for your pipeline.
06
The plan
A month of content, mapped out. You tell me how you like to sign things off, and I’ll work around you. Your time: roughly 5 hours a month.
04
The audit
I dig through everything you’ve got and unearth the messy details: what’s working, what isn’t, and the opportunities you’ve been walking straight past. I also note where your numbers are today, so later we can prove what changed.
02
The proposal
A plan built for you, not copied and pasted. Usually a couple of options, so you get what you need without your budget having to lie down in a dark room.
Let's make your feed worth stopping for.
Best to employ me if you're a brand who doesn't do dull. Sound like you? Let's talk.
